Optional all-inclusive period at Antalya Hotels

Optional all-inclusive period at Antalya Hotels

Sector representatives, who aim to focus especially on gastronomy, sports and cultural tourism activities, will completely reconsider the much-loved but also controversial all-inclusive system.

Half Board

Speaking to Hürriyet about the 2024 plans of the sector, Korhan Alşan, CEO of Nirvana Hotels, noted that the need for re-planning the all-inclusive system has increased with the increase in costs and changing customer expectations. Alşan said, “Some of the hotels that apply the all-inclusive system may turn to half board. Of course, the all-inclusive system will never disappear. Because it is a very comfortable model, especially in the summer. “Türkiye also implements this very well,” he said.

Price by Product

Noting that it is not rational to completely abandon the all-inclusive system, Alşan explained it as follows: “We need to diversify the content of this system. Because conceptual confusion arises on some issues. For example, consumers began to question why they paid for products they did not purchase. We ponder the question, “Why does a tourist who does not drink alcohol during his holiday pay for it?” “We plan to offer the consumer a model where they can choose the products they will use.”

Can Create a Price Advantage

-Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (AKTOB) President Kaan Kavaloğlu also commented on the ‘pay as you go’ model, which is expected to be integrated into the all-inclusive system. Kavaloğlu said, “Frankly, we have filled the all-inclusive system too much due to competitive conditions. Therefore, the new model may create a price advantage. Those who want to use this model effectively in marketing are gradually changing their systems. “In the new period, tourists will be able to benefit from an all-inclusive service without alcohol,” he said.
